Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian di SMP Negeri 29 Bandar Lampung terlihat bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik sebagian besar masih tergolong rendah, dan hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepercayaan diri peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika juga masih rendah. Kondisi ini disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang masih didominasi oleh guru, sehingga peserta didik belum terbiasa menyelesaikan masalah secara mandiri maupun mengungkapkan pendapatnya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menerapkan model pembelajaran Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) yang menempatkan peserta didik sebagai pusat pembelajaran dengan memberikan kebebasan untuk mengeksplorasi, berdiskusi dalam kelompok kecil, dan mempresentasikan hasil temuannya secara mandiri berbantuan teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi experimental dan desain Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 29 Bandar Lampung yang berjumlah 350 peserta didik dari 11 kelas. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan diperoleh dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII.8 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran SOLE, dan kelas VIII.7 sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Manova dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SOLE terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self confidence peserta didik secara simultan, (2) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SOLE terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SOLE terhadap self confidence peserta didik. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran SOLE terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self confidence peserta didik. ABSTRACT Based on the results of the pre-research at SMP Negeri 29 Bandar Lampung, it can be seen that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students is still mostly low, and the results of the questionnaire show that the level of confidence of students in mathematics learning is also still low. This condition is caused by the learning process that is still dominated by teachers, so students are not used to solving problems independently or expressing their opinions. To overcome these problems, this study applies a Self Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) learning model that places students as the center of learning by providing the freedom to explore, discuss in small groups, and present their findings independently with the help of technology. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasiexperimental research type and Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research population is all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 29 Bandar Lampung which totals 350 students from 11 classes. The sample was selected using the cluster random sampling technique and obtained two classes, namely class VIII.8 as an experimental class that applied the SOLE learning model, and class VIII.7 as a control class that used conventional learning. The data analysis technique used was the Manova test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that: (1) there was an influence of the SOLE learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability and self-confidence simultaneously, (2) there was an influence of the SOLE learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, and (3) there was an influence of the SOLE learning model on students' selfconfidence . students. Thus, the SOLE learning model has proven to be effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills and self-confidence .
