Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis dan penalaran matematis peserta didik, yang ditunjukkan melalui hasil Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) serta hasil pra penelitian di MAN 1 Bandar Lampung. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan strategi Student Centered Approach (SCA) berbantuan media YouTube yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi SCA berbantuan media YouTube terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis dan penalaran matematis peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen Post-Test Only Control Design. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X MAN 1 Bandar Lampung dengan sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik tertentu. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan literasi matematis dan penalaran matematis yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis dengan MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi SCA berbantuan media YouTube tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis tetapi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penalaran matematis peserta didik dan berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kemampuan literatis dan penalaran matematis peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, strategi ini dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika. ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the low level of students' mathematical literacy and mathematical reasoning skills, as indicated by the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) results and preliminary research at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung. One effort to overcome this issue is by implementing the Student Centered Approach (SCA) assisted by YouTube media, which emphasizes active student involvement in the learning process This study aims to determine the effect of the SCA strategy assisted by YouTube on students' mathematical literacy and reasoning abilities. The research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design, namely the Post-Test Only Control Design. The population consists of tenth-grade students of MAN 1 Bandar Lampung, with samples selected using a specific sampling technique. The research instruments are tests of mathematical literacy and reasoning skills that have been validated in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discrimination index. Data analysis techniques include normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using MANOVA. The research results show that the SCA strategy assisted by YouTube media does not have a significant effect on mathematical literacy skills but does have a significant effect on students' mathematical reasoning and a simultaneous effect on both students' literacy and mathematical reasoning skills. Therefore, this strategy can be an effective alternative for improving the quality of math learning.
