Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan etnomatematika dalam pembelajaran matematika di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dalam konteks pendidikan internasional, dengan fokus pada integrasi aspek teknologi, pedagogik, dan konten. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengikuti panduan PRISMA, yang menelaah secara sistematis 22 artikel terpublikasi antara tahun 2015 hingga 2025 dari berbagai basis data internasional seperti Scopus, ERIC, DOAJ, dan Google Scholar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan ethnomathematics berbasis budaya local seperti batik, wayang, tenun, dan permainan tradisional— mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika, motivasi, serta keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Pemanfaatan teknologi, seperti penggunaan e-modul berbasis budaya lokal dan model flipped classroom, juga terbukti efektif dalam memperkaya pengalaman belajar siswa. Namun, penelitian ini menemukan tantangan berupa keterbatasan kompetensi guru dan akses teknologi yang belum merata, sehingga menghambat penerapan secara optimal. Simpulan dari kajian ini menegaskan bahwa ethnomathematics berpotensi besar memperkuat identitas budaya sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di SMA, dengan catatan diperlukan peningkatan pelatihan guru serta pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal secara berkelanjutan. Abstract This study aims to explore the implementation of ethnomathematics in high school mathematics learning within the context of international2 education, focusing on the integration of technological, pedagogical, and content aspects. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA guidelines, which systematically examines 22 published articles between 2015 and 2025 from various international databases such as Scopus, ERIC, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. The results show that the application of ethnomathematics based on local culture— such as batik, wayang, weaving, and traditional games—can enhance students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics, motivation, and engagement in learning. The use of technology, such as culture-based emodules and the flipped classroom model, has also proven effective in enriching students’ learning experiences. However, the study found challenges, including limited teacher competence and unequal access to technology, which hinder optimal implementation. The conclusion emphasizes that ethnomathematics has great potential to strengthen cultural identity while improving the quality of mathematics learning in high schools, provided that teacher training and the development of culture-based teaching materials are continuously enhanced Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Mathematics education, PRISMA, SLR, High school student
