Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan komunikasi matematis, kemampuan penalaran matematis, dan kemampuan analisis matematis terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 01 Tanjung Raja sebanyak 142 peserta didik, dengan sampel 106 peserta didik yang ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi, penalaran, analisis, dan koneksi matematis yang telah melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, daya beda, serta tingkat kesukaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, kemampuan penalaran matematis dan kemampuan analisis matematis berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik, sedangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel bebas tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,855. Artinya, 85,5% variasi koneksi matematis peserta didik dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan komunikasi, penalaran, dan analisis matematis, sementara sisanya 14,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Berdasarkan temuan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan kemampuan penalaran dan analisis matematis memiliki kontribusi dominan dalam meningkatkan koneksi matematis peserta didik, sedangkan komunikasi matematis perlu terus diperkuat melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat agar perannya dapat lebih optimal. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis, Kemampuan Analisis Matematis, Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis iii ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of mathematical communication competence, mathematical reasoning competence, and mathematical analysis competence on students’ mathematical connection competence, both partially and simultaneously. This research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The population consisted of 142 eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 01 Tanjung Raja, and a sample of 106 students was determined using the Slovin formula. The instruments used were tests of mathematical communication, reasoning, analysis, and connection competences, which had been validated through tests of validity, reliability, discrimination index, and difficulty level. The results show that partially, mathematical reasoning competence and mathematical analysis competence have a significant positive effect on students’ mathematical connection competence, while mathematical communication competence does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly affect mathematical connection competence, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.855. This indicates that 85.5% of the variation in students’ mathematical connection competence is influenced by their mathematical communication, reasoning, and analysis competences, while the remaining 14.5% is explained by other factors beyond this study. It can be concluded that the development of mathematical reasoning and analysis competences plays a dominant role in improving students’ mathematical connection competence, while mathematical communication competence needs to be further strengthened through appropriate learning approaches to optimize its contribution.
