Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil observasi terdapat siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar matematika sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya kecerdasan numerik siswa. Hal ini dapat disebabkan kurangnya tingkat kepercayaan diri dan resiliensi siswa dalam proses belajar matematika. Siswa dengan kepercayaan diri yang rendah sering sekali merasa ragu dengan kemampuan mereka sendiri. Siswa yang terlalu cemas dapat lebih cepat menyerah karena mereka merasa tidak mampu mengatasi kesulitan yang dihadapi. Keraguan dan kecemasan ini dapat mengurangi kesempatan siswa untuk berlatih mengembangkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan meningkatkan kecerdasan numerik siswa. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-confidence dan resiliensi matematis terhadap kecerdasan numerik siswa. Jenis penelitian ini ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Maringgai. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling. Angket dan tes digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data yaitu angket kepercayaan diri, angket resiliensi matematis, dan tes kecerdasan numerik. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linear sederhana dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) terdapat hubungan antara self confidence terhadap kecerdasan numerik. (2) tidak terdapat hubungan antara resiliensi matematis terhadap kecerdasan numerik. (3) terdapat hubungan antara self confidence dan resiliensi matematis terhadap kecerdasan numerik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, keduanya secara bersama-sama tetap berkontribusi terhadap kecerdasan numerik. Sehinga pendidik dapat memberikan pembelajaran yang memperhatikan penguatan self-confidence dan resiliensi matematis siswa. Kata Kunci : Self-Confidence, Resiliensi Matematis, Kecerdasan Numerik. iii ABSTRACT Based on abservation, there are students who have difficulty learning mathematics, causing low numerical intelligence of students. This can be caused by the lack of confidence and resilience of students in the process of learning mathematics. Students with low self confidence often have doubts about their own abilities. Student who are overly anxious may give up more quickly because they feel unable to overcome the difficulties they face. This doubt and anxiety can reduce students' opportunities to practice developing problem-solving skills and improve students' numerical intelligence. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and mathematical resilience to students' numerical intelligence. This type of research is ex post facto with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Maringgai. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Questionnaires and tests were used as data collection techniques, namely self-confidence questionnaires, mathematical resilience questionnaires, and numerical intelligence tests. The hypothesis tests used in this study are simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results of this study are: (1) there is a relationship between self-confidence to numerical intelligence. (2) there is no relationship between mathematical resilience to numerical intelligence. (3) there is a relationship between self-confidence and mathematical resilience to numerical intelligence. Based on the research results, both together still contribute to numerical intelligence. So that educators can profide learning that pays attention to strengthening students’ self confidence and mathematical resiliensce.
