Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self confidence sangat diperlukan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika. Permasalahan dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemempuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik MTs Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung, hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil pra penelitian yang menunjukan banyak peserta didik mendapatkan nilai belum tuntas serta memiliki self confidence yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 9E berbasis Green Education terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, untuk mengetahui pengaruh kategori Self Confidence tinggi, sedang, rendah terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, dan untuk mengetahui interaksi model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 9E berbasis Green Education dan Self Confidence terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Experimental Desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. Teknik sampling yang digunakan cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan angket self confidence. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan anova dua jalan. Hasil pengujian hipotesis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 9E berbasis Green Education terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. (2) Terdapat pengaruh kategori pengaruh Self Confidence tinggi, sedang, rendah terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. (3) Terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 9E berbasis Green Education dan Self Confidence terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Kata Kunci : Learning Cycle 9E, Green Education, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, dan Self Confidence i ABSTRACT Mathematical problem solving ability and self confidence are essential for students in learning mathematics. The problem in this study lies in the low mathematical problem solving ability of students at MTs Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung, as evidenced by the preliminary research results which showed that many students did not achieve the minimum passing grade and exhibited low self confidence. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the 9E Learning Cycle model based on Green Education on students’ mathematical problem solving ability, to examine the effect of high, medium, and low categories of self confidence on mathematical problem solving ability, and to identify the interaction between the 9E Learning Cycle model based on Green Education and self confidence on mathematical problem solving ability. This study employs a Quasi Experimental Design. The population consists of eighth grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. Data collection instruments include a mathematical problem-solving ability test and a self confidence questionnaire. Hypothesis testing was conducted using two-way ANOVA. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that: (1) There is a significant effect of the Green Education based 9E Learning Cycle model on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. (2) There is a significant effect of self-confidence levels high, medium, and low on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. (3) There is a significant interaction between the Green Education based 9E Learning Cycle model and students’ self confidence on their mathematical problem-solving abilities.
