Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul kontekstual berorientasi kemampuan representasi matematis pada materi statistika. Modul ini dirancang untuk memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep statistika melalui berbagai bentuk representasi matematis (visual, simbolik, dan verbal) yang sesuai dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu Analyis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluatin. Subjek penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 6 OKU. Teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah wawancara, angket validasi, angket kemenarikan, dan tes. Hasil uji respon kemenarikan oleh peserta didik pada uji kelompok kecil sebesar 3,57 dan kelompok besar 3,46 dengan kriteria “sangat menarik” di SMP N 6 OKU. Kemudian modul dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan uji efektivitas dengan perhitungan effect size sebesar 0,96 kategori “tinggi” dan dapat dinyatakan bahwa modul efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul kontekstual berorientasi kemampuan representasi matematis pada materi statistika menarik, layak, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: modul, kontekstual, statistika. ii ABSTRACT This research and development aims to develop a contextual module oriented to mathematical representation skills in statistics material. This module is designed to facilitate understanding of statistical concepts through various forms of mathematical representation (visual, symbolic, and verbal) that are in accordance with the context of everyday life. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model consisting of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this research and development are grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 OKU. The techniques used in collecting data are interviews, validation questionnaires, interestingness questionnaires, and tests. The results of the interestingness response test by students in the small group test was 3.57 and the large group was 3.46 with the criteria "very interesting" at SMP N 6 OKU. Then the module is declared effective based on the effectiveness test with the calculation of effect size of 0.96 in the "high" category and it can be stated that the module is effective for use in learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the contextual module oriented towards mathematical representation ability in statistics material is interesting, feasible, and effective for use in learning.
