Abstract

Abstract The Minang people in Bandar Lampung have a kinship system found in the traditional life of the Minangkabau people who mostly live in Bandar Lampung, in other words the nagari is a region or a group of villages led by a prince or datuk (Ninik Mamak). The existence of the country is indeed an important thing in the Minangkabau community system. Not only Wali Nagari, the figure of Ninik Mamak who joined the Kerapatan Adat Nagari (KAN), was also very influential for sustainability and also for the Nagari community. One of them is the Minang community in Bandar Lampung, where there are many people whose customs are still strong where people still follow the traditional teachings given by their traditional advice. From this point of view, the writer also wants to find out whether all Minang people or people in Bandar Lampung are still guided by the advice of their customs in the political, social, and economic fields, this writer wants to see from the phenomenon where the Minang people in Bandar Lampung still maintain their identity. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the similarity of the identity of Ninik Mamak and her niece's son in Bandar Lampung still retains their identity. This research provides knowledge to the public regarding the dynamics of the identity of the Minangkabau people in Bandar Lampung and provides information on customs and culture of Minang, in this case about the dynamics of real identity in a nomads.
