Abstract

ABSTRACT The selection of the starting eleven at Sekolah Sepak Bola (SSB) Sumberharjo FC, specifically for the U-13 age group, is cur rently conducted conventionally and relies heavily on the coach's vis ual observation and intuition. This approach leads to a high degree of subjectivity, inconsistent evaluations, and a lack of transparent per formance data records, which often causes misunderstandings with the players' parents. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) to assist management and coaches in selecting the 11 starting players more objectively, transpar ently, and systematically based on data. This study utilized a Research and Development (R&D) ap proach employing the Agile software development model, encompass ing planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and review phases completed across six sprint cycles. The decision-making meth od implemented is an integration of Profile Matching and MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis). Profile Matching is utilized in the initial stage to conduct a gap analysis com paring players' actual skills against the ideal profile standard for their positions in technical, physical, tactical, and mental aspects. The re sulting Core Factor and Secondary Factor aggregations are then pro cessed into the MOORA decision matrix as benefit attributes and cal culated alongside absenteeism data as a cost criterion. The research sample consisted of 25 active U-13 players selected through a purpos ive sampling technique. The results demonstrate that the developed DSS effectively automates the processing of performance data into a multi-objective optimization score (Yi), ranking players from highest to lowest. The sequential integration of both algorithms successfully recommended a precise starting lineup of 11 players tailored for a 4-3-3 formation. Based on Black Box functionality testing, the system is proven to operate seamlessly and is completely error-free. Furthermore, Expert Validation (system and material) concluded that the system is highly feasible, user-friendly, effectively minimizes the coach's subjective bias, and serves as a reliable solution for providing accountable selection reports to the parents.
