Abstract
ABSTRACT Economic growth is an important indicator of a country's development performance. During the 2014–2024 period, Indonesia's economic growth experienced fluctuations influenced by various factors, including the USD/IDR exchange rate and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Previous studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding the effects of these variables. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of the USD/IDR exchange rate and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on Indonesia's economic growth and to examine the findings from an Islamic economic perspective. This study employed a quantitative approach using secondary time-series data covering the period from 2014 to 2024. The data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted using EViews 10. The analysis included classical assumption tests, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²). The results indicate that the USD/IDR exchange rate has a negative but insignificant effect on Indonesia's economic growth, while Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, both variables also have no significant effect on economic growth. The Adjusted R² value of 9.19% indicates that most variations in economic growth are explained by other factors outside the research model. From the perspective of Islamic economics, exchange rate stability and investment remain essential in promoting public welfare (maslahah) and sustainable economic development. Keywords: USD/IDR Exchange Rate, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Economic Growth, Islamic Economics.
