Abstract

ABSTRAK Makroalga di pesisir Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman spesies yang tinggi, namun organisme ini sangat rentan terhadap perubahan kondisi lingkungan baik secara alami maupun tekanan antropogenik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi spesies makroalga, serta mengetahui tingkat keanekaragamannya berdasarkan variasi substrat di Perairan Dusun Jelarangan Pulau Pahawang Pesawaran Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan purposive sampling, terdapat 3 stasiun berdasarkan karakteristik dari setiap staisun ditemukannya makroalga. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan transek kuadran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan 13 jenis makroalga yang termasuk dalam divisi Chlorophyta, Phaeophyta, dan Rhodophyta. Jenis makroalga yang ditemukan pada tipe substrat batu berpasir, pasir, pasir berlumpur, dan karang mati pada rataan terumbu karang. Perbedaan karakteristik substrat mempengaruhi komposisi jenis makroalga yang ditemukan pada setiap lokasi penelitian. Terdapat faktor yang mempengaruhi keberadaan makroalga di perairan Jelarangan adalah suhu, pH, salinitas, kecerahan, kecepatan arus, kedalaman, serta substrat. ABSTRACT Macroalgae on the coast of Indonesia have a high diversity of spesies, but these organisms are highly susceptible to changes in enviromental conditions both naturally and anthropogenic stresses. The purpose of this study is determine the composition of macroalgae species, as well as to determine the level of substrate in the waters of Jelarangan Hamlet, Pahawang Island, Pesawaran Lampung. The research method used by purposive sampling is that there are 3 stations based on the characteristics of each station where macroalga are found. Sampling was done using quadrant transects. The result of the study showed that 13 type of macroalgae were found that were included in the division of Chlorophyta, Phaeophyta, and Rhodophyta. Types of macroalgae found in sandstone subtrates, sand, muddy sand, and dead corals on coral reef flats. The difference in substrate characteristics affects the composition of the types of macroalgae found at each research site. Factors that affect the presence of macroalgae in Jelarangan waters are temperature, pH, salinity, brightness, current speed, depth, and substrate.
