Abstract

ABSTRAK IMPLEMENTASI NILAI-NILAI MODERASI BERAGAMA DI SMPN 35 BANDAR LAMPUNG Oleh Herdin Hidayat Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama di SMPN 35 Bandar Lampung serta menganalisis faktor pendukung, penghambat, dan dampak penerapannya terhadap sikap peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data meliputi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, wali kelas, serta peserta didik kelas VII dan VIII. Analisis data dilakukan melalui proses kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahan data dijamin melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama di SMPN 35 Bandar Lampung tercermin melalui beberapa aspek, yaitu pembelajaran di kelas, budaya sekolah, kegiatan keagamaan, interaksi sosial, serta keteladanan guru dan warga sekolah. Nilai-nilai utama moderasi beragama komitmen kebangsaan, toleransi, anti-kekerasan, dan penghargaan terhadap budaya local diintegrasikan secara sistematis melalui kegiatan pembiasaan, program sekolah, dan pendekatan pendidikan karakter. Faktor pendukung implementasi meliputi lingkungan sekolah yang heterogen, komitmen kepala sekolah dan guru, serta adanya program pembinaan karakter. Adapun faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan pemahaman sebagian peserta didik serta perbedaan latar belakang keluarga. Implementasi moderasi beragama terbukti berdampak positif pada sikap peserta didik, terutama dalam hal toleransi, kemampuan bekerja sama, serta penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi sekolah dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter berbasis moderasi beragama serta memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kajian moderasi beragama pada konteks pendidikan formal. ABSRTAC IMPLEMENTATION OF THE VALUES OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION AT SMPN 35 BANDAR LAMPUNG By Herdin Hidayat This study aims to describe the implementation of religious moderation values at SMPN 35 Bandar Lampung and to analyze the supporting factors, barriers, and the impact of their application on students’ attitudes. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Data sources include Islamic Religious Education teachers, homeroom teachers, and students in grades VII and VIII. Data analysis was conducted through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the values of religious moderation at SMPN 35 Bandar Lampung is reflected in several aspects, namely classroom instruction, school culture, religious activities, social interactions, and the exemplary conduct of teachers and the school community. The core values of religious moderation commitment to the nation, tolerance, nonviolence, and respect for local culture are systematically integrated through habit-forming activities, school programs, and character education approaches. Supporting factors for implementation include a heterogeneous school environment, the commitment of the principal and teachers, and the existence of character-building programs. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited understanding among some students and differences in family backgrounds. The implementation of religious moderation has proven to have a positive impact on students’ attitudes, particularly regarding tolerance, the ability to cooperate, and respect for differences. This study is expected to serve as a reference for schools in strengthening character education based on religious moderation and to contribute to the development of research on religious moderation within the context of formal education.
