Abstract
Kata kunci: Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja, Investasi, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia, Upah Minimum.ABSTRACT This study employs an exploratory quantitative approach using secondary data from 35 regencies/cities, analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The results of the study indicate that investment has a negative and significant effect on the labor force participation rate (LFPR) because investment tends to be capital-intensive and thus has not yet been able to optimally absorb the labor force. However, investment has a positive and significant effect on the minimum wage due to increased production activity and labor demand. Furthermore, the Human Development Index (HDI) does not have a significant effect on either the LFPR or the minimum wage because the quality of human resources does not yet fully align with the needs of the labor market. The minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on labor force participation because it increases people’s interest in working. The minimum wage mediates the effect of investment on labor force participation by raising wages, which encourages people to enter the labor market. However, the minimum wage does not mediate the effect of the HDI on labor force participation because that relationship is more influenced by other factors, such as job availability and the regional economic structure. From an Islamic economic perspective, labor force participation reflects the values of productivity, responsibility, and public welfare; therefore, policies are needed to support investment, ensure fair wages, and continuously improve the quality of human resources. Keywords: Labor Force Participation Rate, Investment, Human Development Index, Minimum Wage.
