Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran Biologi abad ke-21 memerlukan literasi sains dan aktivitas belajar yang baik. Literasi sains penting agar peserta didik tidak hanya memahami konsep sains, tetapi juga mampu menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Aktivitas belajar turut mendukung proses pembelajaran melalui keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Namun, hasil prapenelitian di SMA Yadika Bandar Lampung menunjukkan bahwa literasi sains dan aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas X masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning berbantuan flashcard terhadap literasi sains dan aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas X pada mata pelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasy eksperimen. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Yadika Bandar Lampung, dengan sampel yang diambil melalui teknik cluster random sampling (kelas X 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X 4 sebagai kelas kontrol). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan observasi, dengan instrumen penelitian berupa soal tes literasi sains dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. ABSTRACT Biology learning in the 21st century requires good scientific literacy and active learning engagement. Scientific literacy is essential for students not only to understand scientific concepts but also to apply them in everyday life. Learning activities also support the learning process through students’ active participation. However, preliminary research conducted at SMA Yadika Bandar Lampung showed that the scientific literacy and learning activities of tenth-grade students were still low. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by flashcard media on students’ scientific literacy and learning activities in Biology. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasiexperimental method. The population consisted of all tenth-grade students at Yadika Senior High School Bandar Lampung. The samples were selected using the cluster random sampling technique, with class X2 serving as the experimental group and class X-4 as the control group. Data were collected through tests and classroom observations using scientific literacy test instruments and learning activity observation sheets that had been validated and proven reliable.
