Abstract

ABSTRAK Rendahnya peringkat PISA sains Indonesia dan dominasi pembelajaran biologi yang bersifat teoritis-hafalan memicu urgensi untuk mengeksplorasi kontribusi literasi sains terhadap kesadaran ekologis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis korelasi antara literasi sains dan literasi keberlanjutan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri di Bandar Lampung pada materi ekosistem. Penelitian kuantitatif korelasional ini melibatkan 276 sampel siswa dari empat SMA Negeri yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi tes kognitif literasi sains serta angket identitas sains dan literasi keberlanjutan. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan SPSS melalui uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis, termasuk korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan regresi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara literasi sains dan literasi keberlanjutan, dengan tingkat korelasi sangat kuat ditemukan di SN 14 dan SN 10. Dimensi pengetahuan mendominasi capaian tertinggi di seluruh sekolah. Temuan ini merekomendasikan perlunya integrasi pembelajaran biologi untuk mencetak generasi yang cerdas akademik dan peduli lingkungan. ABSTRACT This study was motivated by Indonesia's low PISA science rankings and the dominance of theoretical-rote learning in biology, highlighting the urgent need to explore how science literacy contributes to students' ecological awareness and action competence in facing 21st-century environmental crises. This research aimed to analyze the correlation between science literacy and sustainability literacy among tenth-grade students in state senior high schools (SMA Negeri) in Bandar Lampung regarding the ecosystem topic. This quantitative correlational study involved a sample of 276 students from four state senior high schools, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection instruments included a cognitive science literacy test, along with science identity and sustainability literacy questionnaires. The data were analyzed statistically using SPSS software through prerequisite and hypothesis tests, including Pearson Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression. The results demonstrated a positive and significant relationship between science literacy and sustainability literacy, with a very strong correlation found in SN 14 and SN 10. The knowledge dimension consistently showed the highest achievement across all sample schools. These findings recommend the integration of biology learning methods to foster a generation that is both academically excellent and environmentally conscious.
