Abstract

Abstrak Motivasi belajar merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru serta kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis teknologi. Model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis aplikasi Nearpod diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, kreatif, dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis aplikasi Nearpod dalam meningkatkan motivasi pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam siswa kelas VIII di MTs Darul Ulum Baturaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental dalam bentuk pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 211 siswa kelas VIII di MTs Darul Ulum Baturaja dengan sampel sebanyak 70 siswa. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 34 siswa dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket motivasi belajar yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya sebelum digunakan dalam pengambilan data. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji independent sample t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis aplikasi Nearpod efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Hal ini terlihat dari meningkatnya partisipasi aktif, antusiasme, serta keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran setelah diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model PjBL berbasis Nearpod dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penggunaan aplikasi Nearpod juga mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif, menarik, dan menyenangkan sehingga siswa lebih termotivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis aplikasi Nearpod berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan motivasi pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam siswa kelas VIII di MTs Darul Ulum Baturaja. Abstract Learning motivation is one of the important factors in the success of the learning process. The low learning motivation of students in the subject of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) is caused by learning activities that are still teacher-centered and the limited use of interactive technology-based learning media. The Project Based Learning (PjBL) model based on the Nearpod application is expected to help improve students’ learning motivation through more active, creative, and collaborative learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning model based on the Nearpod application in improving the learning motivation of eighthgrade students in Islamic Cultural History at MTs Darul Ulum Baturaja. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasiexperimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of the study consisted of 211 eighth-grade students at MTs Darul Ulum Baturaja, with a sample of 70 students. The sample consisted of class VIII A as the experimental class with 34 students and class VIII B as the control class with 36 students. The research instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability before data collection. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test to determine differences in learning motivation between the experimental and control classes. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model based on the Nearpod application is effective in improving students’ learning motivation in the subject of Islamic Cultural History. This can be seen from the increase in active participation, enthusiasm, and student engagement in the learning process after the implementation of the PjBL model based on Nearpod compared to conventional learning methods. The use of the Nearpod application was also able to create a more interactive, engaging, and enjoyable learning atmosphere, thereby increasing students’ motivation to participate in learning activities. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model based on the Nearpod application has a positive effect on improving the learning motivation of eighth-grade students in Islamic Cultural History at MTs Darul Ulum Baturaja.
