Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengelolaan inventaris pada Dinas Sosial Provinsi Lampung masih dilakukan menggunakan Microsoft Excel sehingga proses pencatatan, pencarian data, dan penyusunan laporan belum berjalan secara optimal. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan pencatatan, keterlambatan pelaporan, serta kesulitan dalam memantau kondisi dan lokasi barang inventaris. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun Sistem Informasi Inventaris Berbasis Web pada Dinas Sosial Provinsi Lampung guna meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan inventaris. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall yang terdiri dari tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan basis data MySQL. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Black Box Testing untuk memastikan setiap fungsi sistem berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi inventaris berbasis web yang dikembangkan mampu membantu proses pengelolaan data inventaris, peminjaman, pengembalian, pemantauan kondisi barang, serta penyusunan laporan secara lebih cepat dan terintegrasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, seluruh fitur sistem berfungsi dengan baik sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah sistem yang dibangun dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan inventaris pada Dinas Sosial Provinsi Lampung. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah mengembangkan sistem dengan fitur notifikasi otomatis dan akses berbasis perangkat mobile agar dapat memberikan kemudahan yang lebih baik bagi pengguna. ABSTRACT This Inventory management at the Social Service Office of Lampung Province is still carried out using Microsoft Excel, causing the processes of recording, searching, and reporting inventory data to be less effective. This condition may lead to recording errors, delays in reporting, and difficulties in monitoring the condition and location of inventory items. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a WebBased Inventory Information System at the Social Service Office of Lampung Province to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of inventory management. The method used in this study is the Waterfall software development method, which consists of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was developed using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all system functions operated according to user requirements. The results of this study indicate that the developed web-based inventory information system is capable of supporting inventory data management, borrowing and returning processes, monitoring item conditions, and generating reports more quickly and in an integrated manner. Based on the testing results, all system features functioned properly according to user requirements. It can be concluded that the system improves the effectiveness and efficiency of inventory management at the Social Service Office of Lampung Province. Future research is recommended to enhance the system by adding automatic notification features and mobile-based access to provide greater convenience for users.
