Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih kuatnya persepsi negatif siswa terhadap layanan bimbingan dan konseling di SMP Negeri 27 Bandar Lampung. Siswa kelas VIII cenderung menganggap layanan ini hanya ditujukan untuk siswa bermasalah, konselor sebagai "polisi sekolah", dan kurang memahami manfaat layanan BK secara menyeluruh. Hal ini menyebabkan rendahnya partisipasi siswa dalam memanfaatkan layanan yang seharusnya mendukung perkembangan pribadi, sosial, dan akademik mereka. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini berfokus pada upaya mengurangi persepsi negatif melalui konseling kelompok dengan teknik reframing. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru bimbingan dan konseling serta peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 27 Bandar Lampung. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik reframing dalam konseling kelompok mampu membantu siswa mengubah cara pandang mereka terhadap layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Siswa menjadi lebih terbuka, memahami peran konselor secara positif, dan mulai memanfaatkan layanan BK secara aktif. Konseling kelompok menjadi media efektif untuk merekonstruksi pemahaman siswa melalui interaksi reflektif, diskusi bersama, dan perubahan makna atas pengalaman yang sebelumnya dianggap negatif. Dengan demikian, pelaksanaan konseling kelompok dengan teknik reframing terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi persepsi negatif siswa terhadap layanan bimbingan dan konseling. ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the persistent negative perceptions held by students toward guidance and counseling services at SMP Negeri 27 Bandar Lampung. Eighth-grade students tend to view these services as being exclusively for problematic students, perceive school counselors as “school police,” and have a limited understanding of the comprehensive benefits offered by school counseling programs. These perceptions lead to low student participation in services that are intended to support their personal, social, and academic development. To address this issue, the study focused on reducing negative perceptions through group counseling utilizing the reframing technique. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Research subjects consisted of the school counselor and eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 27 Bandar Lampung. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that group counseling using the reframing technique effectively helped students shift their perceptions of guidance and counseling services. Students became more open, developed a more positive view of the counselor’s role, and began to actively engage with counseling services. Group counseling served as an effective medium for reconstructing student understanding through reflective interaction, shared discussions, and reinterpreting past negative experiences. Thus, the implementation of group counseling with the reframing technique proved effective in reducing students’ negative perceptions of guidance and counseling services.
