Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) dengan teknik Scaling Question terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas IX.2 di SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang diketahui bahwa motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas IX.2 menjadi rendah. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas IX.2 adalah kurangnya semangat dan dukungan dari orang tua. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Pra Eksperimen dengan jenis design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IX.2 SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan sampel berjumlah 10 peserta didik yang memiliki permasalahan motivasi belajar rendah, adapun metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini berfokus pada pengaruh Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) dengan teknik scaling question terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas IX.2 di SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) dengan teknik scaling question berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas IX.2 di SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang dan mengalami perubahan kearah yang lebih baik pada peserta didik. Hal ini telah dibuktikan dengan hasil prettest dan posttest yang dilakukan sebelum dan setelah dilakukan perlakuan (treatment) berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed rank test, Adapun hasil diketahui bahwa nilai Z hitung adalah -2.803 dan nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) 0,005 < 0,005. Dengan nilai rata-rata (mean) pada pre-test adalah 39,8 dengan skor 398 nilai minimum sebesar 15 dan nilai maksimum 45 (kategori rendah). Setelah melaksanakan post-test hasilnya mengalami peningkatan yaitu dengan rata-rata (mean) sebesar 65,2 dengan skor 652 nilai minimum 46 dan nilai maksimum 75 (kategori tinggi). Dengan demikian nilai pre-test dan post-test sebesar 39,8 < 65,2 Hal ini menunjukan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) dengan teknik scaling question berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas IX.2 di SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang. ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the influence of Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) with the Scaling Question technique on increasing the learning motivation of students in grade IX.2 at SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang. Based on the results of observations at SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang, it is known that the learning motivation of students in class IX.2 is low. One of the causes of low motivation to learn in class IX.2 students is the lack of enthusiasm and support from parents. This type of research is a quantitative research with the PreExperiment method with the type of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study is all students of class IX.2 SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques and a sample of 10 students who had low learning motivation problems, while the data collection method was carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. In this study, it focuses on the effect of Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) with the scaling question technique on increasing the learning motivation of students in grade IX.2 at SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) with the scaling question technique had an effect on increasing the learning motivation of grade IX.2 students at SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang and experienced a change in the direction for the better in students. This has been proven by the results of the prettest and posttest carried out before and after treatment based on data analysis using the Wilcoxon signed rank test, The results are known that the Z value is -2.803 and the Asymp.Sig (2- tailed) value is 0.005 < 0.005. With an average score (mean) in the pretest of 39.8 with a score of 398, a minimum score of 15 and a maximum score of 45 (low category). After carrying out the post-test, the results increased with an average (mean) of 65.2 with a score of 652, a minimum score of 46 and a maximum score of 75 (high category). Thus, the pre-test and post-test scores were 39.8 < 65.2 This shows that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it can be stated that Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) with the scaling question technique has an effect on increasing the learning motivation of grade IX.2 students at SMPN 1 Penawartama Tulang Bawang.
