Abstract

ABSTRACT Entrepreneurial interest among students has become an important issue amid increasing economic challenges and job competition. Internal factors such as self-efficacy and motivation, as well as external factors such as risk perception, are believed to play a role in shaping students' readiness to start a business, especially in the context of Islamic business, which emphasizes ethics, independence, and usefulness. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy, motivation, and risk perception on the entrepreneurial interest of Sharia Business Management students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey design. The population of this study was all active students of the Sharia Business Management Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung based on data from the Higher Education Database (PDDIKTI) for the odd semester of 2021, totaling 1,420 students. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error, resulting in 94 respondents selected to complete the questionnaire. The data were analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that self-efficacy has a negative and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest, motivation has no effect on entrepreneurial interest, and risk perception has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. In addition, all three variables simultaneously have a significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. These findings indicate that risk perception plays a more dominant role in shaping students' interest in entrepreneurship. Although not all variables have a positive partial effect, simultaneously, all three variables are proven to contribute to interest in entrepreneurship. Keywords: self-efficacy, motivation, risk perception, interest in entrepreneurship, Islamic busines.
