Abstract
ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the urgent need to strengthen the quality of higher education curricula that are not only oriented toward administrative compliance but also toward value-based governance. It aims to analyse the implementation of prophetic values (ṣidq, amanah, faṭonah, and tabligh) throughout the entire curriculum cycle and to formulate an adaptive curriculum-quality management model characterised by these values. The study employs a qualitative phenomenological approach, conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro and Universitas Islam Negeri Jurai Siwo Lampung. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis was carried out using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that prophetic-based curriculum management has been implemented across the full cycle of quality management, encompassing the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. This process is realized through the integrated incorporation of prophetic values, ṣidq, amanah, faṭonah, and tabligh, into curriculum objectives, content, learning processes, and evaluation systems. The main contribution of this study is the formulation of the Prophetic KPPDCA-HC model, developed from Deming’s PDCA cycle, which includes the Prophetic Planning Model (PPM), Prophetic Implementation Framework (PIF), Prophetic Quality Cycle (PQC), and Prophetic Continuous Improvement Model (PCIM). This model emphasizes the integration of prophetic values at every stage of curriculum quality management. The study affirms that the quality of curricula in Islamic higher education is not only measured by national standards but also by the internalization of prophetic values within academic processes and graduate profiles. The proposed model offers conceptual, practical, and policy contributions and has the potential to be adapted for strengthening valuebased curriculum quality management systems in higher education.
