Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi informasi membuat media sosial seperti Instagram banyak dimanfaatkan untuk berbagai kebutuhan, termasuk layanan perpustakaan. Instagram dapat menjadi sarana penyebaran informasi dan promosi yang efektif agar pengguna lebih mudah mengetahui kegiatan serta layanan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemanfaatan Instagram dalam pelayanan perpustakaan berbasis elektronik di SMAN 3 Kotabumi Lampung Utara.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner kepada siswa, guru, dan pustakawan. Analisis dilakukan dengan melihat nilai ratarata pada empat indikator media sosial yaitu context, communication, collaboration, dan connection. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Instagram dalam pelayanan perpustakaan termasuk dalam kategori efektif. Responden menyatakan bahwa Instagram memudahkan mereka mendapatkan informasi tentang jam layanan, kegiatan literasi, dan pengumuman lainnya. Nilai rata-rata keseluruhan menunjukkan tingkat setuju hingga sangat setuju terhadap pemanfaatan Instagram. Namun, diperlukan peningkatan frekuensi unggahan agar informasi lebih rutin dan mudah diakses. ABSTRACT The development of information technology has made social media such as Instagram widely used for various purposes, including library services. Instagram can be an effective tool for sharing information and promoting library activities so that users can easily access updates and services. This study aims to find out how Instagram is used in electronic-based library services at SMAN 3 Kotabumi, North Lampung. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method with data collected through questionnaires distributed to students, teachers, and librarians. The analysis focuses on the average scores of four social media indicators: context, communication, collaboration, and connection. The results show that the use of Instagram in library services is categorized as effective. Respondents agreed that Instagram helps them obtain information about library hours, literacy activities, and announcements. The overall average score indicates a positive perception of Instagram’s use. However, the frequency of content updates still needs to be improved so that information can be shared more regularly and easily accessed.
