Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the management of religious extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 6 Krui as a strategy to instill Islamic values in students. Although the school provides activities such as Rohis and Tahsin Al-Qur’an, several challenges were identified, including low student participation, limited resources and facilities, and unstructured program management. These issues impact the effectiveness of students’ understanding, appreciation, and practice of religious values in daily life. Therefore, this study is important to examine how planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising extracurricular activities are conducted to enhance the internalization of Islamic values. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. The subjects of the study include the principal, vice principal for student affairs, extracurricular supervisors, and several students, while the object of the study is the management of religious value internalization through extracurricular activities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively using a thematic approach, focusing on four key aspects of management. The study also applied source triangulation and interpretative techniques to understand managerial practices integrated with Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ‘adl (justice), mas’uliyah (responsibility), skills, and amal shalih (righteous deeds). The research findings indicate that the management of internalizing religious values at SMP Negeri 6 Krui through Tahsin Al-Qur’an, Rohis, and Pramuka activities is implemented through four main aspects. Planning integrates understanding, appreciation, and practice of Islamic values. Organization is carried out in a trustworthy and fair manner with clear task distribution. Implementation emphasizes religious skills and righteous deeds through practical activities. Meanwhile, continuous supervision and evaluation further strengthen the process of internalizing religious values in extracurricular activities.
