Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan media Explosion Box terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) kelas IV di SD Negeri 3 Way Galih. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental tipe nonequivalent control group posttest-only. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 40 peserta didik yang terbagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket keaktifan belajar yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keaktifan belajar yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 dan t hitung 4,965 > t tabel 1,685. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model CTL berbantuan media Explosion Box berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik. Media ini mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang menarik, kontekstual, dan interaktif, sehingga mendorong siswa lebih aktif dalam proses belajar. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by Explosion Box media on students’ learning activeness in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Way Galih. The background of this research is based on the low level of student activeness during IPAS learning, which remains teacher-centered and lacks meaningful learning experiences. This research employed a quantitative approach with an quasy eksperimen method. The population consisted of 40 fourth-grade students, while the sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique consisting of classes IVA and IVB. Data were collected through a student learning activeness questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using a t-test to determine the differences in activeness between the group using the CTL model with Explosion Box media and the conventional learning group. The results showed that applying the CTL model assisted by Explosion Box media had a positive effect on increasing students’ learning activeness in IPAS learning. The use of this media helped students understand the material contextually, created an enjoyable learning atmosphere, and enhanced their active participation in classroom activities.
