Abstract

ABSTRAK Pertumbuhan gig economy yang semakin pesat menjadikan pekerjaan pengemudi ojek online semakin diminati karena fleksibilitas waktu dan peluang pendapatan yang ditawarkan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh jam kerja dan pendapatan terhadap kepuasan hidup pengemudi ojek online di Kota Bandar Lampung, serta menguji peran work-life balance sebagai variabel moderasi dalam hubungan tersebut. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan mempertimbangkan kompleksitas moderat akibat adanya efek moderasi, penelitian ini menggunakan responden sebanyak 150 orang. Jumlah ini dipilih untuk memastikan kestabilan estimasi PLS-SEM. Data dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SEM-PLS melalui SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jam kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan hidup, dengan nilai original sample sebesar 0.287, t-statistic 3.012, dan p-value 0.003. Pendapatan juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan hidup, dengan nilai original sample 0.422, t-statistic 5.218, dan p-value 0.000. Work-life balance terbukti memoderasi hubungan jam kerja terhadap kepuasan hidup dengan arah positif, ditunjukkan oleh original sample 0.198, t-statistic 2.167, dan p-value 0.031, serta memoderasi pengaruh pendapatan terhadap kepuasan hidup dengan nilai original sample 0.243, t-statistic 2.941, dan p-value 0.004. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa semakin optimal jam kerja dan semakin tinggi pendapatan, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat kepuasan hidup driver, terutama ketika mereka mampu menjaga worklife balance. Temuan ini selaras dengan prinsip Islamic Work Ethics yang menekankan pentingnya keseimbangan (tawazun), keadilan („adl), amanah, dan kemaslahatan (maslahah) dalam mencapai kesejahteraan dan keberkahan hidup. ABSTRACT The rapid growth of the gig economy has increased the popularity of online motorcycle taxi work due to its flexible working hours and promising income opportunities. This study aims to determine the extent to which working hours and income influence the life satisfaction of online motorcycle taxi drivers in Bandar Lampung City, as well as to examine the moderating role of work-life balance in these relationships. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and considering the moderate model complexity arising from the inclusion of a moderating effect, a total of 150 respondents were selected to ensure stable PLS-SEM estimations. Data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS approach through SmartPLS 4. The results show that working hours have a positive and significant effect on life satisfaction, with an original sample value of 0.287, a t-statistic of 3.012, and a p-value of 0.003. Income also has a positive and significant effect on life satisfaction, with an original sample value of 0.422, a t-statistic of 5.218, and a p-value of 0.000. Work-life balance is proven to moderate the relationship between working hours and life satisfaction positively, as indicated by an original sample value of 0.198, a t-statistic of 2.167, and a p-value of 0.031, and it also moderates the effect of income on life satisfaction with an original sample value of 0.243, a t-statistic of 2.941, and a pvalue of 0.004. This study confirms that the more optimal the working hours and the higher the income, the higher the life satisfaction of drivers, especially when they are able to maintain a healthy work-life balance. These findings align with the principles of Islamic Work Ethics, which emphasize the importance of balance (tawazun), justice („adl*), trustworthiness (amanah), and well-being (maslahah) in achieving holistic welfare and a blessed life.
