Abstract

ABSTRACT English writing skills are crucial for academic and professional success. However, EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students often face challenges in writing, such as limited vocabulary, difficulty with grammar, and lack of confidence. Grammarly is a popular online writing tool that can help EFL students improve their writing skills. This study aims to determine the perceptions of 8th semester English Education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung regarding the use of Grammarly as a writing aid. The research employed a qualitative method, describing the data descriptively, focusing on 8th semester English Education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Data were collected through interview and questionnaire with 20 participants, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman method. The results indicate that students provided positive feedback on the use of Grammarly as a writing aid, particularly when working on a thesis or assignments. These findings provide insight into Grammarly as an AI (Artificial Intelligence) known to assist writing among students and teachers.
