Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas IV MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran project based learning berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS kelas IV di MIN 1 Pesisir Barat?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap pemahaman konsep mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) peserta didik kelas IV MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dengan model Project Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung (direct instruction). Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pemahaman konsep yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil uji hipotesis independent sampel T-test yang dilakukan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kelas kontrol didapat sig.(2-tailed) artinya model pembelajaran project based learning berbasis kearifan lokal memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS peserta didik kelas IV MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh siginifikan model pembelajaran project based learning berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS kelas IV MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. Kata Kunci: Project Based Learning, kearifan lokal, pemahaman konsep. iii ABSTRACK The background of this study is the low level of conceptual understanding among fourth-grade students at MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. The research question in this study is whether there is a significant effect of the local wisdom-based project-based learning model on the conceptual understanding of fourth-grade students at MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. This study aims to determine the effect of the local wisdom-based Project Based Learning model on the conceptual understanding of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among fourth-grade students at MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. This study is quantitative research, using a quasi experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of an experimental class that was given treatment with a local wisdom-based Project Based Learning model and a control class that used a direct instruction learning model. The instrument used was a validated concept comprehension test. The results of the study show that from the independent sample T-test hypothesis test conducted on the experimental class meaning that the local wisdom-based project-based learning model had a significant effect on the IPAS concept comprehension of fourth grade students at MIN 1 Pesisir Barat. Therefore, it can be concluded that hypothesis meaning that there is a significant effect of the local wisdom-based project-based learning model on the IPAS concept comprehension of fourth-grade students at MIN 1 Pesisir Barat.
