Abstract
ABSTRAK Permasalahan global saat ini sangat kompleks, mencakup isu lingkungan, sosial, dan ekonomi. Pendidikan berperan strategis dalam membekali generasi muda menghadapi tantangan tersebut melalui Literasi Lingkungan. Namun, pra-penelitian di SMA Negeri 6 Bandar Lampung menunjukkan bahwa Literasi Lingkungan peserta didik masih rendah, ditandai dengan kesulitan memahami konsep ekologi dan keterampilan kognitif terkait isu lingkungan, yang juga mencerminkan lemahnya penguasaan aspek Global Citizenship Education (GCE) dalam kesadaran kritis, tanggung jawab global, dan partisipasi aktif menyelesaikan permasalahan berkelanjutan. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, dikembangkan E-Modul berbasis Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) dan Global Citizenship Education (GCE) yang interaktif, kontekstual, dan mendukung pembelajaran abad ke-21. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan, kemenarikan, serta efektivitas E-Modul dalam meningkatkan Literasi Lingkungan peserta didik kelas X pada mata pelajaran Biologi, khususnya materi Perubahan dan Pelestarian Lingkungan Hidup. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Instrumen meliputi angket validasi ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli bahasa; angket respon peserta didik dan pendidik; tes terhadap Literasi Lingkungan; angket terhadap Literasi Lingkungan; serta lembar obsrevasi terhadap Lietrasi Lingkungan. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan skor, persentase, dan uji N-Gain untuk peningkatan Literasi Lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) Proses pengembangan E-Modul mengikuti tahapan 4D sehingga produk terarah dan sesuai kebutuhan pembelajaran. (2) Kelayakan E-Modul dinilai "Sangat Layak" oleh validator materi (93%), media (83%), dan bahasa (83%). (3) Respon peserta didik menunjukkan kategori "Menarik" pada uji terbatas (80%) dan "Sangat Menarik" pada uji luas di SMAN 6 Bandar Lampung (88%) dan SMAIT Baitul Muslim Labuhan Ratu (70%), sedangkan respon pendidik juga termasuk kategori "Sangat Menarik" (77%). (4) E-Modul terbukti efektif meningkatkan Literasi Lingkungan dengan hasil independent sample test (sig. 0,006 < 0,05) serta perolehan N-Gain kelas eksperimen (0,74) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (0,60). Dengan demikian, E-Modul yang dikembangkan layak, menarik, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan Literasi Lingkungan peserta didik. Education plays a strategic role in equipping the younger generation to face these challenges through Environmental Literacy. However, a preliminary study at SMA Negeri 6 Bandar Lampung revealed that students’ Environmental Literacy remains low, as indicated by difficulties in understanding ecological concepts and cognitive skills related to environmental issues. This also reflects weak mastery of Global Citizenship Education (GCE) aspects, particularly in critical awareness, global responsibility, and active participation in addressing sustainable issues. To address this challenge, an interactive and contextual E Module based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and GCE was developed to support 21st-century learning. The research aimed to develop and test the feasibility, attractiveness, and effectiveness of the E-Module in improving Environmental Literacy among grade X students in Biology, specifically on the topic of Environmental Change and Conservation. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Instruments included validation questionnaires from subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts; response questionnaires from students and teachers; Environmental Literacy tests; Environmental Literacy questionnaires; and observation sheets. Data were analyzed quantitatively using scores, percentages, and the N-Gain test to measure improvement in Environmental Literacy. The results showed: (1) The development process followed the 4D stages, ensuring the product was systematic and aligned with learning needs. (2) The feasibility of the E-Module was rated "Highly Feasible" by validators—materials (93%), media (83%), and language (83%). (3) Student responses indicated the category "Interesting" in limited trials (80%) and "Very Interesting" in wider trials at SMAN 6 Bandar Lampung (88%) and SMAIT Baitul Muslim Labuhan Ratu (70%), while teacher responses also fell into the "Very Interesting" category (77%). (4) The E-Module proved effective in improving Environmental Literacy, supported by the independent sample test (sig. 0.000 < 0.05) and the N-Gain score of the experimental class (0.74), which was higher than the control class (0.60). Thus, the developed E-Module is feasible, attractive, and effective in enhancing students’ Environmental Literacy.
