Abstract

ABSTRACT Merdeka Curriculum is a new phenomenon in the world education, Merdeka Curriculum has new policy that did not exist in the previous curriculum. The new policy that presence of English subject in elementary school level. Teachers at the school had limitations in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, precisely in English subject. Considering that in the previous curriculum, English subject was not presented. Therefore, it is important to know the teachers' perception of the Merdeka Curriculum, especially in the implementation of English subject. So, the objective of this research is to know the English teachers' perceptions toward the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum. This research used quantitative descriptive approach, employing questionnaires to gather data from english teachers. The sample was taken from ten shcool, MIN 01, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 09, 10, 11, 12 Bandar Lampung, which consist of thirty english teachers. The population of this research was the all english teachers from all MIN Bandar Lampung which consist twelve school. Data collection used a Likert Scale questionnaire, and the data analysist was include descriptive statistics. The research includes test for validity, reliability and normality. After obtaining data from giving a questionnaire, the reseacher analyzed the data. From the data analysis, the results of the analysis are: shows that the perception of teachers in all MIN in Bandar Lampung regarding the implementation of The Independent Curriculum as a whole is very good, with 56.66% of respondents saying choosing to strongly agree, 33.33% of respondents chose to agree, then 10% of respondents who did not choose quite agree, then 0% of respondents did not agree with the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, and 0% of respondents strongly disagreed. This shows that teachers in all MIN in Bandar Lampung have a perception that strongly agrees with independent learning. Keywords: Perception, Merdeka Curriculum, English Teacher
