Abstract
This study examines the impact of crude oil prices, exchange rates, and energy consumption in the industrial sector on inflation in Indonesia from 2013 to 2024, framed within an Islamic perspective. Utilizing Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis on annual data from 2014 to 2023, the research conducts a series of classical assumption tests and statistical significance tests.indicating that residuals are normally distributed. Autocorrelation tests show no serial correlation among residuals, ensuring independent error values across time periods. Multicollinearity tests indicate that the independent variables do not exhibit strong linear relationships, allowing for accurate interpretation of regression coefficients. Heteroskedasticity tests confirm constant variance of residuals, enhancing the reliability of coefficient estimates. Partial significance tests (t-tests) indicate that crude oil prices do not significantly affect inflation, likely due to energy subsidy policies. Conversely, exchange rates significantly influence inflation, aligning with Purchasing Power Parity theory and the concept of imported inflation. Energy consumption in the industrial sector does not significantly impact inflation, attributed to energy subsidies and improved energy efficiency. Simultaneous significance tests (F-tests) suggest that the three independent variables collectively do not significantly affect inflation, although the model retains informative value for further studies. The adjusted R² value of 0.539 indicates that approximately 53.9% of the variation in inflation can be explained by the independent variables, while the remaining 46.1% is influenced by other factors not included in the model, such as monetary, fiscal, and global factors.
