Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan zaman dan kemajuan teknologi informasi telah membawa perubahan besar dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia. Salah satu perubahan yang paling mencolok adalah hadirnya era post-truth, dimana fakta objektif seringkali kalah dengan emosi dan kepercayaan pribadi dalam membentuk pandangan publik. Berita bohong menyebar melalui media sosial dan masyarakat menyaksikan fenomena post-truth sebagai bagian dari keseharian mereka. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana Konsep teologi rasional dalam pemikiran mu‘tazilah dan bagaimana Relevansi teologi rasional dalam pemikiran mu‘tazillah di era post-truth. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Teologis Normatif, sumber data primer yakni Syarh Al-Ushul Al-Khamsah, karya Abd Al Jabbar Bin Ahmad, yang diterbitkan oleh Mahtab Wabah Kairo. Dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dokumentasi serta analisis isi dalam menganalisa penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Konsep teologi rasional Mu‘tazilah yaitu Syarḥ al-Uṣūl al-Khamsah menegaskan bahwa akal memiliki peran sentral dalam memahami dan membenarkan kebenaran ajaran agama, dengan lima landasan pokok Al-Tawḥid (Keesaan Allah), Al-„Adl (Keadilan Ilahi), Al-Wa„D Wa Al-Wa„id (janji dan ancaman Allah), Al Manzilah Bayna Al-Manzilatayn (posisi antara dua posisi), dan Al-Amr Bi Al-Ma„Rūf Wa Al Nahy „An Al-Munkar (memerintahkan kebaikan dan mencegah kemungkaran) sebagai pilar utama. Dan Relevansi Teologi Rasional Pemikiran Mu‘tazillah Di Era Post-truth terletak pada kemampuannya menawarkan kerangka berpikir kritis, rasional, dan etis dalam menghadapi arus informasi yang seringkali bias, manipulatif, dan emosional. Tidak hanya menegaskan supremasi akal dalam memahami kebenaran, tetapi juga mengarahkan manusia untuk bertindak adil, konsisten, dan bertanggung jawab dalam menilai realitas sosial maupun wacana publik. Di tengah situasi di mana fakta sering dikaburkan oleh opini atau sentimen politik, pendekatan rasional Mu‘tazilah dapat berfungsi sebagai metode verifikasi dan klarifikasi, sehingga membantu masyarakat mempertahankan integritas intelektual dan moral. Kata Kunci : Teologi Rasional dan Post-truth ii ABSTRACT The development of the times and advances in information technology have brought about major changes in various aspects of human life. One of the most striking changes is the emergence of the post-truth era, where objective facts often lose out to emotions and personal beliefs in shaping public opinion. Fake news spreads through social media, and people witness the post-truth phenomenon as part of their daily lives. The research problem formulation in this study is how the concept of rational theology is understood in Mu'tazilah thought and how rational theology is relevant to Mu'tazilah thought in the post-truth era. This research uses a qualitative method with a normative theological approach. The primary data source is Syarh Al-Usul Al-Khamsah, by Abd Al Jabbar Bin Ahmad, published by Mahtab Wabah Cairo. Documentation and content analysis were used in analyzing this research. The results of the study show that the concept of rational theology of Mu'tazilah, namely Syarḥ al-Uṣūl al-Khamsah, emphasizes that reason has a central role in understanding and justifying the truth of religious teachings, with five main foundations of Al-Tawḥid (Oneness of God), Al-'Adl (Divine Justice), Al-Wa'D Wa Al-Wa'id (promise and threat of God), Al-Manzilah Bayna Al Manzilatayn (position between two positions), and Al-Amr Bi Al-Ma'Rūf Wa Al-Nahy 'An Al-Munkar (commanding good and preventing evil) as the main pillars. And the Relevance of Rational Theology of Mu'tazilah Thought in the Post-truth Era lies in its ability to offer a critical, rational, and ethical framework for thinking in dealing with the flow of information that is often biased, manipulative, and emotional. Not only does it affirm the supremacy of reason in understanding the truth, but it also directs people to act fairly, consistently, and responsibly in assessing social reality and public discourse. In situations where facts are often obscured by political opinion or sentiment, the rational approach of the Mu'tazilah can serve as a method of verification and clarification, thereby helping society maintain its intellectual and moral integrity.
