Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep Matematik. oleh peserta didik. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya keaktifan peserta didik serta rasa jenuh yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran Matematika. Meskipun pendidik telah mencoba berbagai model pembelajaran, namun hasilnya belum mampu memaksimalkan pemahaman konsep Matematika. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menawarkan solusi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Langkapura. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Quasi Eksperimen Dan Desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model TAI berbantuan Wordwall, dan kelas B sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction tipe Explicit Instruction. Teknik pengumpulan sampel menggunakan acak kelompok (Chister Random Sampling) dengan sampel kelas A sebagai kelas Eksperimen dan kelas B sebagai kelas Kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes berupa soal Essay yakni berupa posttest untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel = 3,77 > 2,01 = 0,05, sehingga Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, maka dapat di simpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika kelas IV. Pemahaman konsep pada mata pelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berpengaruh dibandingkan pemahaman konsep matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction tipe Explicit Instruction. This problem is caused by the lack of student engagement and the boredom experienced during mathematics learning activities. Although educators have attempted to apply various learning models, the outcomes have not been effective in optimizing students' conceptual understanding of mathematics. Therefore, the researcher proposes a solution through the implementation of the Cooperative Learning Model of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type.The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall media on the mathematical conceptual understanding of fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Langkapura.The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach and a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: Class A as the experimental group, which used the TAI model with Wordwall assistance, and Class B as the control group, which used the Direct Instruction model of the Explicit Instruction type. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling, with Class A as the experimental group and Class B as the control group. The instrument used in the research was an essay test (posttest) aimed at measuring students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The results of the study show that the value of tcount > ttable = 3.77 > 2.01 at a significance level of 0.05. Thus, H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted, indicating that there is a significant effect of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model on the conceptual understanding of mathematics among fourth-grade students. Inconclusion, mathematical conceptual understanding using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model is more effective than using the Direct Instruction model of the Explicit Instruction type.
