Abstract

an metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yang lebih menekankan analisis terhadap suatu kondisi dan berorientasi untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian melalui cara berfikir formal dan argumentatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Setalah data terkumpul, penulis menggunakan teknik analisa Miles-Huberman seperti reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan bahwa implementasi fungsi edukasi di Desa Wisata Kampung Kopi Rigis Jaya berjalan cukup efektif melalui berbagai kegiatan seperti pelatihan pengolahan kopi, edukasi pertanian organik, dan pendampingan wisata. Masyarakat terlihat aktif berpartisipasi dalam pengelolaan wisata, didukung oleh sikap pelayanan yang ramah dan komunikatif, yang turut mendorong promosi secara organik dari mulut ke mulut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi fungsi edukasi dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat di Desa Wisata Kampung Kopi Rigis Jaya dilakukan melalui tiga tahap: penyadaran, pengkapasitasan, dan pendayaan. Proses ini mengacu pada prinsip edukasi nonformal dan dipimpin oleh Ketua Pokdarwis, sehingga masyarakat yang awalnya tidak berdaya kini mampu mandiri, mengelola potensi desa, dan membawa Rigis Jaya menjadi desa maju peraih juara 3 desa rintisan tingkat nasional. Kata Kunci : Edukasi, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Desa Wisata. ABSTRACT Rigis Jaya Village is one of the regions in West Lampung Regency where the majority of the population works as coffee farmers. In the past, this village was not widely known, and its potential had not been optimally explored. That changed when the local government began seeking a suitable location for developing a "Coffee Tourism Village" (Kampung Kopi), coinciding with a central government program targeting the development of specific regions (PDT). Recognizing this opportunity, the village government of Rigis Jaya, together with local youth and the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), initiated discussions to explore the potential for tourism development. Subsequently, the village government and Pokdarwis approached the Regent of West Lampung to propose Rigis Jaya as a Coffee Tourism Village. The proposal was accepted, and Rigis Jaya was officially designated as the Kampung Kopi of West Lampung. Since its inauguration in 2018, Kampung Kopi Rigis Jaya has shown rapid progress and was awarded 3rd place in the national-level Emerging Village Competition in 2021. This transformation is particularly compelling for academic study, given the significant changes that occurred in a relatively short period. Therefore, the researcher formulated the following problem: How is the implementation of the educational function in community empowerment carried out in the Coffee Tourism Village of Rigis Jaya, Air Hitam Subdistrict, West Lampung Regency. This research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, focusing on analyzing real conditions and aiming to answer research questions through formal and argumentative reasoning. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. After collecting the data, the researcher applied the Miles and Huberman model of analysis, which involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on observations and interviews, the implementation of the educational function in Kampung Kopi Rigis Jaya has proven to be quite effective through various activities such as coffee processing training, organic farming education, and tourism mentoring. The community actively participates in managing tourism, supported by a friendly and communicative service attitude, which also contributes to organic word-of-mouth promotion. The study shows that the implementation of the educational function in community empowerment is carried out through three stages: awareness building, capacity development, and community empowerment. This process is based on the principles of non-formal education and led by the head of Pokdarwis, enabling the community previously lacking in capacity to become independent, manage their village potential, and lead Rigis Jaya to become an advanced village recognized nationally.
