Abstract

ABSTRACT Job stress is one of the main problems faced by nurses, especially those working in high-risk environments such as emergency rooms and intensive care units. Stress that is not handled properly can reduce performance, disrupt mental health, and have a negative impact on the quality of nursing services. This study aims to identify the results of previous studies on the factors that influence nurses' job stress and how their job stress levels are. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by searching articles from the Google Scholar, crosserf, and smantic schoolar databases in the period 2020–2025. After going through a selection process using inclusion and exclusion criteria, a number of relevant articles were obtained and analyzed thematically. The synthesis results show that nurses' work stress is influenced by various factors, including high workload, time demands, poor interpersonal relationships, leadership type, organizational conditions, and individual factors such as age and length of service. These findings indicate the importance of health institutions' attention in managing the nurses' work environment in a more adaptive and supportive manner. This study is expected to be the basis for developing intervention strategies to reduce nurses' work stress and as a reference for future empirical research. Keywords: Work Stress, Nurses, Nurses' Work Stress, Indonesia.
