Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman Pisces (ikan) yang terdapat di perairan Pulau Tegal Mas, Kabupaten Pesawaran, serta menganalisis parameter fisika dan kimia perairan sebagai indikator kualitas habitat. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei dan observasi langsung di tiga stasiun pengamatan, yaitu daerah dermaga, terumbu karang, dan padang lamun. Data dikumpulkan melalui identifikasi spesies ikan, penghitungan indeks keanekaragaman (Shannon-Wiener), indeks keseragaman, indeks dominansi, serta pengukuran kualitas air (suhu, kecerahan, pH, dan DO). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 682 individu Pisces yang tergolong dalam 10 famili. Indeks Keanekaragaman berada pada kategori sedang (H’ berkisar antara 2,1–2,3), Indeks Keseragaman bervariasi (E = 0,3–0,8), dan Indeks Dominansi menunjukkan nilai rendah (C = 0,1), yang menandakan tidak adanya spesies yang mendominasi secara signifikan. Parameter kualitas air juga berada dalam kisaran yang mendukung kehidupan Pisces. Keanekaragaman spesies Pisces yang cukup tinggi menunjukkan bahwa perairan Pulau Tegal Mas masih memiliki ekosistem yang relatif seimbang dan mendukung untuk konservasi biota laut. Kata Kunci : Ekosistem Laut, Keanekaragaman Pisces, Kualitas Air, Indeks Keanekaragaman, Pulau Tegal Mas ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the level of diversity of Pisces (fish) found in the waters of Tegal Mas Island, Pesawaran Regency, and to analyze the physical and chemical parameters of the waters as indicators of habitat quality. The method used is quantitative descriptive with a survey approach and direct observation at three observation stations, namely the dock area, coral reefs, and seagrass beds. Data were collected through identification of fish species, calculation of diversity index (Shannon-Wiener), uniformity index, dominance index, and measurement of water quality (temperature, brightness, pH, and DO). The results showed that there were 682 Pisces individuals belonging to 10 families. The diversity index is in the moderate category (H' ranges from 2.1 -- 2.3), the uniformity index varies (E = 0.3 -- 0.8), and the dominance index shows a low value (C = 0.1), which indicates that there are no species that dominate significantly. Water quality parameters are also in the range that supports Pisces life. The fairly high diversity of Pisces species indicates that the waters of Tegal Mas Island still have a relatively balanced ecosystem and support the conservation of marine biota.
