Abstract

ABSTRAK Partisipasi aktif peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam keberhasilan kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana partisipasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran serta faktor faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas V SDN 03 Wana dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi Mind Mapping Presentation dalam meningkatkan partisipasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di kelas V SDN 03 Wana. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran IPAS yang ditandai dengan minimnya keterlibatan aktif siswa saat proses belajar berlangsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi Mind Mapping Presentation secara signifikan meningkatkan partisipasi belajar siswa. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif dalam berdiskusi, bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, serta menunjukkan keberanian untuk mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok mereka di depan kelas. Strategi ini memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk menyusun pemahaman secara visual, kreatif, dan kolaboratif, yang berdampak positif terhadap suasana belajar yang lebih hidup dan menyenangkan. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa faktor pendukung keberhasilan strategi ini antara lain adalah antusiasme guru dan kesiapan siswa, sedangkan hambatannya meliputi kurangnya kepercayaan diri awal siswa dan keterbatasan waktu. Dengan demikian, Mind Mapping Presentation terbukti menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan partisipasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS, dan dapat dijadikan alternatif inovatif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah dasar. This study aims to determine how student learning participation in learning and the factors that influence it. The study was conducted in class V SDN 03 Wana with a descriptive qualitative approach. This study aims to describe the application of the Mind Mapping Presentation strategy in increasing student learning participation in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject in class V SDN 03 Wana. The problem underlying this study is the low level of student participation in IPAS learning activities which is characterized by minimal active involvement of students during the learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the application of the Mind Mapping Presentation strategy significantly increased student learning participation. Students became more active in discussing, asking questions, answering questions, and showing the courage to present the results of their group discussions in front of the class. This strategy provides space for students to construct understanding visually, creatively, and collaboratively, which has a positive impact on a more lively and enjoyable learning atmosphere. In addition, it was found that the supporting factors for the success of this strategy include teacher enthusiasm and student readiness, while the obstacles include students' lack of initial self-confidence and time constraints. Thus, Mind Mapping Presentation has proven to be an effective learning strategy to increase student learning participation in science subjects, and can be used as an innovative alternative in learning activities at the elementary school level.
