Abstract

ABSTRAK Biologi sebagai ilmu yang kompleks dalam pembelajaran tentunya memerlukan model pembelajaran yang tepat agar peserta didik dapat mengembangkan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) dan Sikap Ilmiah yang dimilikinya. KPS sebagai upaya mengemabangkan sejumlah keterampilan pada diri peserta didik sehingga mampu memperoleh fakta maupun konsep. Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Bintang diperoleh hasil bahwa model pembelajaran yang diterapkan belum meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains dan Sikap Ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE) terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains dan Sikap Ilmiah kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasy Experimental dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest control group. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Bintang, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling dan didapatkan kelas XI M 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI M 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument penelitian berupa soal tes Essay Keterampilan Proses Sains dan angket Sikap Ilmiah yang telah dilakukan uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya beda sehingga instrument telah layak digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil olah data yang diperoleh dari penelitian menggunakan Teknik analisis uji independent sample T-tes menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE) terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah peserta didik dengan perolehan nilai sig. 0,000 < 0,05 hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model Predict Observe Explain (POE) terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains dan Sikap Ilmiah. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Proses Sains, Model Pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE), Sikap Ilmiah. iii ABSTRACT Biology as a complex science in learning certainly requires the right learning model so that students can develop their Science Process Skills (KPS) and Scientific Attitudes. KPS is an effort to develop a number of skills in students so that they are able to obtain facts and concepts. Based on the results of the pre-research at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Bintang, the results were obtained that the learning model applied has not improved Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitudes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Predict Observe Explain (POE) Assisted Learning Model of the Experimental Method on Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitudes in class XI in the subject of biological material of the digestive system. This research method uses the Quasy Experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest control group research design. The population of this study is all students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Bintang, the sampling technique uses the Cluster Random Sampling technique and class XI M 1 as the experimental class and class XI M 3 as the control class. The research instruments are in the form of Science Process Skills Essay test questions and Scientific Attitude questionnaires that have been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty, and differentiation so that the instrument is suitable for use. Based on the results of data processing obtained from the study using the independent sample T-test test analysis technique, it shows that there is an influence of the Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model on the science process skills and scientific attitudes of students with a sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05, this shows that there is a significant influence of the use of the Predict Observe Explain model(POE) on Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitudes.
