Abstract

ABSTRAK Dewasa awal berada pada tahap keenam, yaitu “intimacy versus isolation”. Di mana, selama masa dewasa awal, individu akan menghadapi masa membangun hubungan dekat dengan orang lain. Hubungan tersebut sering juga disebut dengan istilah pacaran dalam hubungan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan banyak manfaat atau efek positif pada attachment dewasa awal. Sama halnya dengan komunikasi interpersonal yang memberikan dampak terhadap attachment sehingga semakin tinggi komunikasi interpersonal maka akan semakin tinggi attachment pasa dewasa awal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah dewasa awal yang berpacaran yang bearada di provinsi Lampung dengan rentan usia 20-40 tahun. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 400 responden, terdiri dari 158 laki-laki dan 242 perempuan, teknik pengambilan data menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrument dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala komunikasi interpersonal α = 0,751 dengan jumlah aitem 22. Dan skala attachment berupa ECR-R dengan jumlah 18 aitem. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan produc moment dengan software JASP 18.0 windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa variabel bebas komunikasi interpersonal memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 23,5% dan 76,5% dipengaruhi oleh factor lain diluar penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup baik antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan attachment pada dewasa awal yang menjalin hubungan pacaran. Kata kunci: Attachment, Komunikasi Interpersonal, Dewasa Awal yang Berpacaran. ABSTRACT Early adulthood is at the sixth stage, which is 'intimacy versus isolation'. During early adulthood, individuals will face a period of building close relationships with others. These relationships are often referred to as dating, which is expected to provide many benefits or positive effects on early adult attachment. This is because dating can provide a sense of love and affection for one another. Thus, it is hoped to realize the psychological and sociological development of early adulthood towards the process of independence. Similarly, interpersonal communication has an impact on attachment, so the higher the interpersonal communication, the stronger the attachment will be in early adulthood. The population in this study consists of young adults who are dating and are located in Lampung province, aged between 20 to 40 years. The sample in this study is 400 respondents, consisting of 158 males and 242 females, with data collection techniques using purposive sampling. The instrument used in this research is an interpersonal communication scale with a reliability of α = 0.751 consisting of 22 items. And the attachment scale is in the form of ECR R with a total of 18 items. Based on the data analysis results using product moment correlation with JASP 18.0 software for Windows, the research results indicate that the independent variable of interpersonal communication contributes 23.5% effectively, while 76.5% is influenced by other factors outside of the study. The results also show that there is a fairly good relationship between interpersonal communication and attachment. Keywords: Attachment, Interpersonal Communication, Young Adults In Relationships.
