Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya metode pembelajaran sebagai proses untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang efektif. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan siswa untuk memahami dan menemukan sendiri pengetahuannya dan berperan aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehingga mampu memahami materi pembelajaran dengan baik dan mengembangkan kemampuan berfikir kritisnya melalui model pembelajaran inquiry. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh antara model pembelajaran inquiry terhadap keterampilan berfikir kritisnya siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasy eksperimen. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X yang terdiri dari X.A sampai X.I. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X.H sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X.I sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik berupa soal tes pilihan ganda. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji anova dua jalan. Hasil pengujian hipotesis pertama mendapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0.05 maka ditolak, hasil pengujian hipotesis kedua mendapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 > 0.05 maka diterima. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Kata kunci: Berfikir Kritis, Inquiry, Learning. iii ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the importance of learning methods as a process to improve the quality of effective learning. One of the learning methods that provides opportunities for students to understand and discover their own knowledge and play an active role in learning activities so that they can understand the learning material well and develop their critical thinking skills through inquiry learning models. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The hypothesis in this study is that there is an influence between inquiry learning models on students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is quasy experimental method. The population used in this study were all X classes consisting of X.A to X.I. The research sample consisted of two classes, X.H as the experimental class and X.I as the control class selected using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to measure students' critical thinking skills is a multiple choice test question. The hypothesis test used in this study is the two-way anova test. The results of testing the first hypothesis get a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 so it is rejected, the results of testing the second hypothesis get a significance value of 0.000> 0.05 so it is accepted.
