Abstract

ABSTRAK GERAKAN EKOLOGI ANGKATAN MUDA MUHAMMADIYAH DALAM PERSPEKTIF FILSAFAT LINGKUNGAN Oleh Ahmad Tri Mulyadi Krisis lingkungan global yang ditandai oleh kerusakan ekosistem, pencemaran, dan perubahan iklim menuntut keterlibatan aktif seluruh elemen masyarakat, termasuk organisasi keagamaan dan pemuda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Angkatan Muda Muhammadiyah (AMM) dalam gerakan ekologi melalui program Eco-Smart School (ESS), ditinjau dari perspektif filsafat lingkungan. Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif dengan analisis filsafat untuk menelaah nilai-nilai ekologis, spiritualitas Islam, serta bentuk praksis ekologis yang dijalankan oleh AMM. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa program ESS yang digagas oleh AMM merupakan wujud konkret integrasi antara ilmu pengetahuan, kesadaran ekologis, dan ajaran keislaman. Dalam kerangka filsafat lingkungan, gerakan ini mencerminkan paradigma holistik yang menekankan relasi harmonis antara manusia, alam, dan Tuhan. Dengan demikian, AMM tidak hanya berperan sebagai agen perubahan di ranah sosial-keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai motor penggerak transformasi ekologi berbasis nilai. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan ekologis yang bersumber dari etika dan spiritualitas lokal sebagai strategi alternatif dalam menghadapi krisis lingkungan global. ABSTRACT THE ECOLOGICAL MOVEMENT OF MUHAMMADIYAH YOUTH IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF ECOLOGICAL PHILOSOPHY By Ahmad Tri Mulyadi The escalating global environmental crisis—manifested through ecosystem degradation, pollution, and climate change— necessitates comprehensive and collaborative responses from all sectors of society, including religious-based youth organizations. This study investigates the role of Angkatan Muda Muhammadiyah (Muhammadiyah Youth) in promoting environmental sustainability through the implementation of the Eco-Smart School (ESS) program, analyzed through the lens of environmental philosophy. Employing a qualitative descriptive method with a philosophical-analytical approach, this research explores the integration of ecological values, Islamic spirituality, and environmental praxis embodied in the program. The findings reveal that the ESS initiative exemplifies a constructive synthesis of scientific knowledge, ecological consciousness, and Islamic ethical principles. Viewed from the perspective of environmental philosophy, this movement represents a holistic paradigm that fosters harmonious relationships among humans, nature, and the Divine. Consequently, Muhammadiyah Youth emerges as a transformative actor not only in socio-religious engagement but also in driving ecologically responsible actions. The study underscores the significance of ethical-spiritual frameworks rooted in local traditions as viable alternatives for addressing the global environmental crisis.
