Abstract

ABSTRAK it is important to recognize that not all films possess good moral values.If films with poor moral content are watched by school-aged children. teenagers, who are not yet mature, their moral development could be at risk. Studies from the American Academy of Pediatrics indicate that exposure to inappropriate media content can negatively influence children's behavior and attitudes. Therefore, it is crucial to choose films with positive moral values, especially for those who are considered not yet mature or young viewers objective ofthe research is Onward movie In this research, the researcher will use descriptive qualitative method. Types of Moral Values Found in Onward Movie Based on Linda and Eyre"s Theory According to Linda and Eyre"s moral values is divided to values of being and values of giving. Values of being consists of honesty, courage, peaceability, self confidence, and discipline. Meanwhile, the values of giving consists of loyalty, respect, love, unselfishness, kindness, and justice. Here are moral values found in Onward movie. from the analysis, the researcher found 10 types of moral values based on Linda and Eyre's theory. 10 types of moral values are got from 26 data from the script and the scene. Onward movie shows that it has dominant moral values, they are honesty and courage. Thus, Onward movie is a good medium for teachers or for parents in teaching moral values towards their students or children keyword: Analysis, kind of moral value,movie and moral value
