Abstract

ABSTRACT The problem in this study is how students perceive the use of Google Form in vocabulary assessment. This study aims to analyze students' perceptions of Google Form as a vocabulary assessment tool. Google Form is considered an innovative tool, but its effectiveness depends on user acceptance and experience. Therefore, this study aims to understand students' views on Google Form as a vocabulary assessment tool. This study used a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 44 third semester students of the English Education Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The samples were taken from 2 classes, class A and class G. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing using SPSS Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 26 to identify students' perception patterns. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, the average value of students' perceptions of using google form to assess vocabulary is 119.39, which is in the high category, with a percentage of 74.61%. Meanwhile, based on the results of inferential analysis, the value (2-tailed) of 0.158 is greater than 0.05, thus H0 is accepted, so there is no significant perception between male and female students. Therefore, from both statistical description analysis and inferential analysis, it can be concluded that students' perceptions are very positive towards the use of google form to assess vocabulary.
