Abstract

ABSTRACT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING QUIZIZZ APPLICATION TOWARDS STUDENT’ VOCABULARY MASTERY AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL By : SUSANTI The vocabulary mastery of students at SD N Mekar Jaya Lampung Timur was still low. Some students still have difficulty memorizing vocabulary. In vocabulary learning, the teacher does not use interesting media, therefore the Quizizz Application is supporting media in vocabulary learning that is used in this research. Meanwhile, the objective of this research was to determined wether there was effectiveness of using Quizizz Application in teaching vocabulary mastery at the sixth grade SD N Mekar Jaya LampuTimur in academic year 2024/2025. The research methodology applied a Quasi-Experimental design. In this research, the population was the sixth grade of SD N Mekar Jaya Lampung Timur. The sample of this research were two classes, consisting of 21 students for control class (VI A) and 21 students for the experimental class (VI B) the total sample was 42 students. In the experimental class, this research used Quizizz Application, and in the control class used Picture. In collecting the data, this research used instrument in the form of multiple choice which consisted of 20 questions. The treatment was held in three meetings. A pre-test was given for both classes before the treatment. Then, after the treatment was conducted, the post-test was given. After given pre-test and post-test, this research was analyzed by using SPSS. From the data analysis showed that the Quizizz Application score obtained by students before and after treatment had significant effect, this could be seen from the hypothesis testing used computed by using SPSS it was obtained that Sig. = 0.000 and α = 0.05. it means Ha was accepted because Sig. < α = 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, there is iii significanct effect of using Quizizz Application in teaching vocabulary mastery at the sixth grade SD N Mekar Jaya Lampung Timur in academic year of 2024/2025.
