Abstract

ABSTRAK Berpacaran menjadi alternatif pemenuhan tugas perkembangan dewasa awal yang memasuki fase intimacy vs. isolation. Namun, kondisi emosional yang seringkali tidak stabil memunculkan permasalahan dalam hubungan salah satunya adalah kecemburuan (jealous). Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi romantic jealousy dalam penelitian ini adalah self esteem dan secure attachment. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self esteem dan secure attachment dengan romantic jealousy pada dewasa awal yang berpacaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi dewasa awal yang berpacaran di seluruh Indonesia. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini didapatkan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 252 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala diantaranya yaitu Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS) berjumlah 16 aitem (α = 0.863), skala Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES) berjumlah 9 aitem (α = 0.789) dan skala Revised Adult Attachment Scale (RAAS) berjumlah 14 aitem (α = 0.865). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analaisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan software JASP 0.16.4 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai R = 0.534 dan R2 = 0.285 dengan signifikansi p = 0.001 (p < 0.01) artinya ada hubungan negatif signifikan antara self esteem dan secure attachment dengan romantic jealousy pada dewasa awal yang berpacaran dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 28.5%, dan 71,5% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. ABSTRACT Dating is an alternative to fulfill the developmental tasks of early adults who enter the intimacy vs. isolation phase. However, emotional conditions that are often unstable give rise to problems in relationships, one of which is jealousy. Factors that can affect romantic jealousy from this research are self-esteem and secure attachment. This study aims to determine the relationship between self esteem and secure attachment with romantic jealousy in early adults who are dating. This research is a study with a quantitative approach with a population of early adults who are dating throughout Indonesia. Participants in this study obtained using purposive sampling technique and obtained 252 respondents. Data collection techniques using three scales including MJS totaling 16 items (α = 0.863), RSES totaling 9 items (α = 0.789) and RAAS totaling 14 items (α = 0.863). Data analysis techniques in this research using multiple regression analysis with the help of JASP software 0.16.4 for windows. Results of this research shows the value of R = 0.534 and R2 = 0.285 with significance p = 0.001 (p < 0.01) meaning that there is a significant negative relationship between self esteem and secure attachment with romantic jealousy in early adulthood who are dating with an effective contribution of 28.5%, and the other 71.5% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research.
