ABSTRACT AN ANALYSIS OF TEACHERS’ DIFFICULTIES IN TEACHING READING TO YOUNG LEARNERS AT SD N 2 WAY DADI BY MAMLUATUL MUKAROMAH The research entitled "An Analysis of Teachers' Difficulties in Teaching Reading to Young Learners at SD N 2 Way Dadi" was conducted based on the fact that teachers experienced difficulties in teaching reading to young students at SD N 2 Way Dadi. The aim of this research is to identify the difficulties faced by teachers in teaching reading to young students at the school. This research refers to Aryana and Apsara's theory, with a focus on media and teaching strategies, inappropriate material selection, ineffective teaching techniques, class conditions, textbooks, and the availability of technology for the teaching and learning process. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach, where data is collected through interviews and observations of English teachers. The data analysis model used is the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing stages. The results of the analysis show that teachers' difficulties in teaching reading to young students are influenced by several factors, including limited learning media, ineffective teaching strategies, lack of conducive classroom conditions, and limited technology available to support teaching activities.
