Abstract

ABSTRACT AN ANALYSIS OF VISUAL TASK-BASED LEARNING FOR WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT OPTIMIZE AT SMK TERPADU TAKWA BELITANG BY RISMA OKTAVIA The research titled “An analysis of Visual Task-Based Learning for Writing Descriptive Text Optimize at SMK Terpadu Takwa Belitang” was conducted based on the fact that the process of teaching learning using Visual Task-Based learning and the challenges teaching in the classroom using Visual Task-Based Learning. The purpose of this research is to analysis the teaching process using Visual Task-Based Learning and what ae the challenges teaching in the classroom using Visual Task-Based Learning in class DKV (Desain Komunikasi Visual) at SMK Terpadu Takwa Belitang. This research adopt theories from Othman, teacher technological ability, Evaluation and assessment of learning outcomes, diversity of student understanding of student understanding. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews from a teacher English at SMK Terpadu Takwa Belitang. The data analysis model used in this research is the Miles and Huberman model, through stages data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion. The results of the analysis show that visual task-based learning is able to improve students' ability to write descriptive text, but teachers have challenges in applying visual task-based learning techniques in the classroom, such as teacher technological ability, Evaluation and assessment of learning outcomes, diversity of student understanding of student understanding. This research is in accordance with the theory of teachers' challenges in teaching writing in the classroom. Keywords: Teaching Writing, Visual Task-Based Learning, Teaching Descriptive Text.
