Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masjid sebagai simbol bangunan umat Islam yang digunakan sebagai pusat ibadah, pengembangan masyarakat, dan persatuan umat Islam untuk meningkatkan keimanan dan ketakwaan. Selain sebagai tempat ibadah, masjid juga dapat digunakan sebagai tempat berkumpul, berdiskusi, bertukar pengalaman, kajian, dan pusat dakwah. Untuk memakmurkan masjid, perlu dilakukan fungsi masing-masing masjid, sehingga diperlukan manajemen di setiap masjid. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen Masjid Istiqlal Lampung Tengah dalam memakmurkan masjid. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan sumber data yang ditemukan secara langsung di lokasi penelitian melalui proses observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses manajemen Masjid Istiqlal Lampung Tengah dalam memakmurkan masjid melibatkan fungsi-fungsi manajemen seperti perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Fungsi-fungsi ini dijalankan dengan baik dan didukung oleh pengurus masjid dan masyarakat, sehingga masjid sudah berjalan aktif dalam kegiatan ibadah. Selain itu, proses memakmurkan masjid melalui pengelolaan manajemen masjid, kegiatan masjid, menjaga kebersihan, dan fasilitas masjid juga dilakukan dengan baik. Namun, masih terdapat manajemen masjid yang belum terlaksana di masjid Istiqlal Lampung Tengah yaitu kegiatan perpustakaan masjid dan koperasi umat yang belum ada. Pengembangan fasilitas seperti perpustakaan masjid dan koperasi umat juga dapat menjadi langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the mosque as a symbol of a Muslim building that is used as a center of worship, community development, and unity of Muslims to increase faith and piety. In addition to being a place of worship, the mosque can also be used as a place to gather, discuss, exchange experiences, study, and a center for preaching. To prosper the mosque, it is necessary to carry out the functions of each mosque, so that management is needed in each mosque. The purpose of this study was to determine how the management of the Istiqlal Mosque in Central Lampung prospers the mosque. The research method used is a qualitative method with data sources found directly at the research location through the process of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the management process of the Istiqlal Mosque in Central Lampung in prospering the mosque involves management functions such as planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. These functions are carried out well and supported by the mosque management and the community, so that the mosque has been actively running in worship activities. In addition, the process of prospering the mosque through the management of mosque management, mosque activities, maintaining cleanliness, and mosque facilities is also carried out well. However, there is still mosque management that has not been implemented in the Istiqlal Mosque, Central Lampung, namely the activities of the mosque library and the congregation cooperative that do not yet exist. The development of facilities such as mosque libraries and congregation cooperatives can also be a strategic step to improve community welfare.
