Abstract

ABSTRAK Academic dishonesty merupakan tindakan kecurangan yang melanggar etika dan perilaku yang tidak sah yang melibatkan mahasiswa dengan berbagai cara untuk keuntungan dirinya sendiri. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi academic dishonesty meliputi peer pressure dan fear of failure. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah peer pressure dan fear of failure mempengaruhi academic dishonesty serta, untuk mengetahui hubungan antara peer pressure dan fear of failure dengan academic dishonesty. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Pengguna Artificial intelligence. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini didapatkan melalui teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 350 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga skala, yaitu skala academic dishonesty (α= 0.937), skala peer pressure (α= 0.886), dan skala fear of failure (α= 0.942). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda, dan analisis regresi sederhana dengan menggunakan bantuan JASP 0.18.3.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peer pressure dan fear of failure berkorelasi positif dengan academic dishonesty (R = 0.224, F = 9.206, p < 0.001). Secara spesifik, peer pressure tidak memiliki hubungan terhadap academic dishonesty (R = 0.091, p < 0.090, kontribusi 0.5%), sedangkan fear of failure berkorelasi positif dengan academic dishonesty (R = 0.218, p < 0.001, kontribusi 4.5%). ABSTRACT Academic dishonesty is an act of cheating that violates ethics and illegal behavior that involves students in various ways for their own benefit. Factors that can influence academic dishonesty include peer pressure and fear of failure. This research aims to determine whether peer pressure and fear of failure affect academic dishonesty, as well as to examine the relationship between peer pressure and fear of failure with academic dishonesty. The population in this study consists of university students who use Artificial intelligence. The participants in this research were obtained through purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 350 students. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted using three scales, namely the academic dishonesty scale (α = 0.937), the peer pressure scale (α = 0.886), and the fear of failure scale (α = 0.942). The data analysis technique used in this study was multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis using JASP 0.18.3.0 software. The results of this study indicate that peer pressure and fear of failure are positively correlated with academic dishonesty (R = 0.224, F = 9.206, p < 0.001). Specifically, peer pressure has no significant relationship with academic dishonesty (R = 0.091, p < 0.090, contribution of 0.5%), while fear of failure is positively correlated with academic dishonesty (R = 0.218, p < 0.001, contribution of 4.5%).
