Abstract
ABSTRAK Penggunaan internet yang tidak terkontrol seperti mengakses youtube, line, Instagram dan twitter yang berlebihan bisa mengakibatkan individu mengalami problematic internet use. Penggemar K-Pop BTS (ARMY) menggunakan internet untuk mencari informasi, mendengarkan lagu dari selebriti yang dia idolakan, celebrity worship merupakan kecenderungan individu untuk dekat dengan idolanya melalui internet. Dan juga untuk menjalin hubungan dengan lingkungan sosial, need to belong merupakan keadaan individu untuk mencari penerimaan sosial dan dicintai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara celebrity worship dan need to belong dengan problematic internet use pada penggemar K-Pop BTS (ARMY) di lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling yang melibatkan subjek. Pengumpulan data menggunakan 3 skala yaitu skala problematic internet use sebanyak 20 item (0.930), skala celebrity worship sebanyak 31 item (0.949), dan skala need to belong sebanyak 7 item (0.633). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan software JASP 0.18.3.0. Hasil penelitian ini pada variabel celebrity worship dan need to belong dengan problematic internet use menunjukan nilai r = 0.401 dengan signifikan p<0.001, artinya ada hubungan yang positif (hipotesisi diterima) antara celebrity worship dengan problematic internet use, dengan sumbangan 16%, sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini. ABSTRACT Uncontrolled internet use, such as excessive access to YouTube, Line, Instagram and Twitter, can result in individuals experiencing problematic internet use. K-Pop BTS fans (ARMY) use the internet to search for information, listen to songs from celebrities they idolize, celebrity worship is an individual's tendency to be close to their idols via the internet. And also to establish relationships with the social environment, the need to belong is an individual's state of seeking social acceptance and being loved. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between celebrity worship and need to belong and problematic internet use among K-Pop BTS fans (ARMY) in Lampung. This research uses quantitative methods with a sampling technique using purposive sampling involving subjects. Data were collected using 3 scales, namely the problematic internet use scale with 20 items (0.930), the celebrity worship scale with 31 items (0.949), and the need to belong scale with 7 items (0.633). The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis with the help of JASP 0.18.3.0 software. The results of this research on the variables celebrity worship and need to belong to problematic internet use show a value of r = 0.401 with a significant p<0.001, meaning that there is a positive relationship (the hypothesis is accepted) between celebrity worship and problematic internet use, with a contribution of 16%, the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
