Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan computational thinking peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran IPA. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan computational thinking peserta didik yaitu dengan mengaplikasikan model PjBL (Project Based Learning) dengan pendekatan saintifik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PjBL (Project Based Learning) dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan computational thinking peserta didik pada materi tekanan dalam zat cair di SMP Negeri 1 Punggur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eskperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalen Control Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini merupakan seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Punggur tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dengan sampel kelas VIII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument pengumpulan data berupa soal tes essay. Teknik analisis data yag digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji t. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yamg telah dilakukan dengan uji t, diperoleh hasil kemampuan computational thinking sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan model PjBL (Project Based Learning) dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan computational thinking peserta didik pada materi tekanan dalam zat cair di SMP Negeri 1 Punggur. One effort to improve students' computational thinking abilities is to apply the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with a scientific approach. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the PjBL (Project-Based Learning) model with a scientific approach on students' computational thinking abilities on the topic of pressure in liquids at SMP Negeri 1 Punggur. The research method used in this study is Quasi-Experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study consists of all 8th-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Punggur for the 2023/2024 academic year, with class VIII.5 as the experimental class and class VIII.6 as the control class. The data collection instrument was in the form of essay test questions. The data analysis technique used in this study is the t-test. Based on the hypothesis test results conducted with the t-test, the computational thinking ability score obtained was 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using the PjBL (Project-Based Learning) model with a scientific approach on students' computational thinking abilities on the topic of pressure in liquids at SMP Negeri 1 Punggur.
